The problem we solved

BeST and the care provider were looking for a purpose built, centrally located property in Preston. They needed to move tenants from a property where they provided assisted shared living that they were vacating in the area, into a property that provided assisted individual living and had enough expansion capacity for new tenants. The property needed to be built to a detailed specification based on the tenant needs and within a 3-month period from design to handover.

How we solved the problem

Renov8 worked with BeST and the care provider from the design stage on the layout of each apartment, specific to the tenant needs.  We also worked closely with the compliance teams to ensure all apartments and communal areas conformed to the regulatory fire, evacuation and safety requirements as well as the practical consideration, such as emergency exit triggering alarms and video/CCTV access systems used for the tenants specialised needs.

The results

In a 3-month window from concept to handover, we delivered a quality product to BeST and the care provider allowing tenants to move in with minimal disruption to their daily lives and routines. By working as a collaborative team, raising and solving issues that arose during each stage of the project, it enabled us to meet strict deadlines without compromising on quality, keeping to budget and delivering the project on-time.
